Some of the criticism is fair. Some of it is not. But we begin with a sentence I never thought Id write: Sex and the City 2 is a subversively patriotic, anti-Islamist fairy tale that ultimately comes down on the side of traditional values, and its creator, Michael Patrick King, has more guts than most everyone working at his level in the film industry today.
***BIG SPOILERS COMING***

Sluts in the City
Sara Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon are the last people I think of when I hear word sex. Hell, they are walking anti-viagra.
It’s Sex in the City. How big can the spoilers be?
I have always liked her and Kristen Davis
“in a just society Samantha has a God-given right to have as much sex as she wants with whomever she wants.”
“...infinitely morally superior to suffocating her beneath a burqa at the hands of an unjust ideology enabled by a misguided American media more concerned with offending other cultures than human rights.”
“director King now finds himself under fire from, among others, the USA Today for mocking religious beliefs and The Hollywood Reporter for being blatantly anti-Muslim,”
“had King used Mormons instead of Muslims all the criticism about his being anti-Muslim wouldve been replaced with phrases like, brave, bold, courageous and cutting edge? “
director King now finds himself under fire from, among others, the USA Today for mocking religious beliefs
Since when is it a bad thing to mock religious beliefs? Oh, I get it, it’s only bad to mock religions other than Christianity. Christianity? Mock away
Why do you have a picture of a transvestite donkey witch, and what is it doing next to that horse?
John Nolte replied to me (lol):
But it isn’t SLUTS IN THE CITY, you are as factually incorrect as those calling the film anti-Muslim. Three of the four are now married and Carrie’s entire plotline revolves around FIDELITY — coming to terms with strict, 100%, traditional FIDELITY — where something as small as a kiss is a betrayal.
I don’t know what the series was like. It only took a couple episodes to turn me off. But in both films at least three of the women have evolved into discovering that all that traditional stuff they laughed at in their youth is actually the key to happiness. And the only thing more moral than that, is having your characters EVOLVE into understanding that.
Yeah, Samantha might meet your definition, but any “slut” or actress playing one or director creating one deserves who has the guts to finally stand against Islamists and their media enablers is okay with me. “Sluts” in R-rated movies are the least of our problems.
.....
I obviously disagreed with him. heh.
Parker looked okay to me sometimes when she was younger. Whenever something (like her hair) detracted from the shape of her head. Maybe it depended on the lighting or angle of the camera.
Nixon. Bull-dykes I’ll take the liberty to speak on behalf of men everywhere, you can keep her. She’s better looking than Richard Nixon though I’ll grant her that.
Kristen Davis isn’t bad looking but she never did it for me.
Which leaves Granny. I don’t know what I think about her.
Family Guy: “So this is a show about 3 hookers and their mom?”
Kim Cattral was very, very pretty ~30 years ago (the original Porky’s).
SJ Parker never did it for me.
Pit Bull Nixon...not so sure that Tricky Dicky isn’t better looking than her even in his present state.
Kristin Davis is the best looking one of this motley crew by far. She looked great in ‘Couples Retreat’.
This dumb show set a lifestyle template for nimrod women. I have a couple of Facebook ‘friends’ who apparently have based their existence on this show. Pathetic.
Peter Griffin called it perfectly.
I think Brian Griffin had that line. As I recall his gay (dog) cousin forced him to watch it. ;D
Hmm
or
Judgment call.
But on the other hand Cythnia's "girlfriend" who like Senator Patty Murray looks like a guy who looks like a lesbian.
or
Easy call. ;-p
I rather enjoyed the “in your face” anti-Muslim bits, but the film disappointed for many other reasons . The opening scenes with the gay wedding and a song and dance by Liza Minelli was too over the top. The “I Am Woman” kerioke (sp?) with the 4 women was just not what I expected from these women—characters who were drawn as caricatures of themselves. Bottom line: there were just too many forced plotlines.
BBBWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right - Brian’s cousin Jasper!
