Superior is a relative term. As a computer programmer I have usually considered "Going Crazy and killing the crew" to be a strike against a computer system. That is usually the sort of bug you try to work out in beta testing.

ohyeah?? well the russians had nearly ten years to come up with a loco computer and did they??? NO! they had to have twenty or thirty technicians running the ship;-)
we did it ten years earlier with two PLUS an insane computer!
