If one is in a vehicle, not a big problem.
Walking one's dog along the local ditch is a whole nother issue. ;-)
I've been to FL and seen same/similar in ponds in front of facilities I wuz visiting. Walked fast.
Actually my biggest dog walking scare down here came from a massive blue brahma bull. My old shepherd, Timber, locked eyes with it and there were about a million years of prey-predator animus suspended in the air between their gazes, punctuated only by two very thin strands of barbed wire.
I couldn't drag him away quickly enough, lol.
