To: Repeat Offender

What will happen is that the learning curve will be steeper. When they find themselves in combat, there will be a winnowing period when the ones who can’t hack it leave, feet first. The hazing and traditions helped to winnow them out before combat and without the cost of a casket.

My question was rhetorical. I may have had some experiences with boot lieutenants and enlisted.

I know full well about the qualities of "hazing." ie blood stripes, chevrons, pinnings etc (heaven help you if it was found out to be your birthday).

I still have my metal prommotion chevrons with bent prongs (for every rank). I smile every time I look at them. I still remember doing sprints for pt the day after I earned my blood stripes....... bass turds ;)

The only problems arose when idiots took it too far; those guys deserved to get their asses kicked. Especially, because of all the scrutiny everyone else comes under.
