Sir Paul McCartney to be honoured by Barack Obama at White House

Wouldn't this be like Norman Rockwell getting honored by a naked, feces-smearing performance artist?

O wants to see an artist... he throws a party and wa-la... they show up.

Just once I'd like to see the budget posted for these wing-dings... I bet the love-fest for mexico's president costs more than a couple million $s.

In my mind Paul stayed after the party was over a little too long.

He was the melodic, harmonic mega-talent playing off of John’s edge, or likely John adding the twists to his structure with George running enough interference to keep them from imploding.

They were God-like, having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.

I thought of John’s acerbic and somewhat depressive nature enough to balance Paul’s sacchyrin and Paul’s creativity enough to really flesh out John and everyone else’s basic ideas. Someone else pointed out once that many of the truly memorable elements of Beatles music had their origin in George. Oh, yeah, and there was this guy named Ringo.

Here’s a game; Beatles or McCartney songs adapted for the occasion.

HELP! (Me pay my taxes)

Drive My Car (While you still can)

Nowhere Man (aka Zero Man)

Being for the Benefit of Mr Obama

Fixing a Hole (just not in that burst oil pipe)

I Want To Hold You HandWallet

I'm Down (in the polls)

I'm a Loser (but that's not what MSNBC says of me)

While My Guitar Portfolio Gently Weeps

Maxwell's Silver Hammer (came down on tax payers' heads)

This is too easy.

The Beatles did much to help popularize drugs and the whole hippy culture. No wonder the devil wants to give them their due though “Obama”, they were a big help to him.

Oldest scam in the book when you want to get a big name celebrity to appear somewhere, give 'em an award or degree of some kind.
