I dont watch TV, but I own a few series on DVD that I watch in order to avoid commercials and to watch on my own time.
Im looking for something that doesnt insult my spiritual or political (Christian Conservative) beliefs. And I dont want comedies that exist on juvenile sexual innuendoes.
I love and own the first five seasons of LOST and THE OFFICE. I have the first two seasons of 24, but quit when I saw that the producers are too cowardly to depict Muslim terrorists not backed by white corporate types as the bad guys. I also have BAND OF BROTHERS and the first 10 seasons of THE SIMPSONS.
I was thinking of getting the first season of SCRUBS except Im uncomfortable watching with my 16 year old daughter because of the frequent sexual situations.
I heard good things about CHUCK.
Any suggestions for a series I can get into?
Sleeper Cell.
Mission Impossible Seasons 1 through 4.
“THE RICHES” with Eddie Izzard
I don’t see any forensics there, but I have enjoyed both Bones and NCIS. There are 12 seasons of episodes right there.
Dexter has many bad qualities but is quite enjoyable none-the-less.
Bones is nothing but sex jokes
The Unit - Dennis Haysbert, Max Martini, Robert Patrick, Scott Foley and a couple hot babes. Great stories, conservative values, rah, rah...
Well - as hard as this sounds - I havent found much good here in the U.S. — But check out these:
Foyle’s war - excellent detective series in WW2 by the BBC
Poirot - Agatha Christie’s detective done with David Suchet
As Time Goes By - staring the most excellent Dame Judi Dench
and one of my favorites (but no one else in the house likes them) - “Last of the summer wine”
Scrubs is good. Seinfeld, good. Arrested Development, good. The Big Bang Theory is okay.
I’d still recommend 24. I think Season 4 is Muslim from top-to-bottom, and there are Muslim terrorists involved in almost every season.
- House, MD is great.
- If you like lighter-hearted spy shows, Burn Notice is quite good.
- I like Smallville, but it starts off pretty teeny-bopperish.
- The Shield and The Wire are both on my list to see in the near future — they’ve come VERY highly recommended, but I can’t vouch personally.

Justified. Some foul language.
Cheers.
Where everyone knows your name...
Yes the Unit is good. Kind of like the earlier ones better than the later ones.
Just bought Sleeper Cell on DVD. Looking forward to it.
SnakeDoc
Burn Notice.
Deadliest Catch! Got hooked 4-6 weeks ago and already have the first 5 seasons on DVD.
I’ve been watching the first seasons of Alfred Hitchcock (1956+) and Twilight Zone(1959+).
except for the sex, and theres alot of it, i would recccommend the TUDORS.
after that, i liked 24
