Shiism is almost like Trotskyism, Sunni is like Marxism-Leninism. You have Karl Marx, and you have Allah. You have the Communist Manifesto, and you have the Koran. You have Lenin, who used the word of Marx to spread a revolution to bring about a Vanguard Political party by violent means. You have Muhammad, who used the word of Allah to spread a Vanguard Religion by violent means. Both were supposed to take over the world. And you have Trotsky, who didn't accept Lenin's successor, Stalin. You have Ali, who didn't accept the caliph at the time. Both Islam and Bolshevism are comprehensive ways of life and political systems, with their own economic, social, and political institutions. you have a caliph, and a dictatorship of the proletariat.

What do you think of this comparison. I mention this in that people die for insulting Allah or Muhammed, or even drawaing them. in Communist countries, you died for insulting Marx or Lenin (or whatever dictator they had). In Saudi Arabia, you cannot carry a Bible or Torah. In Communist countries, you could not carry capitalist political material. Communist countries have politburos; Islamic countries have Majils.

What are the numbers as far as death due to the movements? I had read the black book of communism a few years back and it was close to 100 million dead due to it through out the world. How many have died at the hands of Islam?

You’ll notice that the jihadists have absorbed a fair amount of marxism in their Islam. Things that are supposedly antithetical often coexist in an amalgam.

Hmmm ... actually not as crazy as it might at first look. They’re both movements that try to change the world and impose their views on people. So you’ll naturally have a holy text, an ideology, ideological fervor, propaganda, shock troops, heretics, and the rest. But to say that one is a form of the other is probably going too far.
