Few bites and pawing marks- sounds like he was trying to get her to wake up and move- maybe tried to drag her. Talk about jumping to conclusions, you would think they would have waited until the investigation was over before killing the dog.

I believe a coroner would know if the dog bites were from trying to make her wake up. He surely knows what mauling looks like!! He would know if the biting happened before or after she died.

Poor Zeus. If doggies go to heaven - he's with his owner now. His barking alerted a neighbor..He did everything a dog could do to help her. :-(

Wow, that first was hard for me to swallow.

I don’t have the specific quotation in front of me but as I recall, Will Rogers once said (and this may be paraphrased): “I don’t know if dogs go to Heaven but I do know that I want to go where they go.”
