I believe a coroner would know if the dog bites were from trying to make her wake up. He surely knows what mauling looks like!! He would know if the biting happened before or after she died.

Poor Zeus. If doggies go to heaven - he's with his owner now. His barking alerted a neighbor..He did everything a dog could do to help her. :-(

My dad was a fireman, he responded to a fire where a woman had fallen asleep drunk on the couch while smoking a cigarette. She had a Great Dane, you could tell the dog tried to drag her out of the house, he finally laid down next to her and died with her.
