Everything else you can GET if you have the above ^
Another VERY STUPID comment. A leech who will resort to taking the preparations of others.
If I am the first house you stop by, you ill wind up dead.
Great plan you have going!/sarc

Chewing Tobbaco. Better for long stretches of boredom and a much better trade item.
If the SHTF don’t worry about oral cancer or bad teeth.

Watcha gonna kill me with...your freerepublic posts?
"Another VERY STUPID comment. A leech who will resort to taking the preparations of others"
I'd rather be STUPID and ALIVE. You can go ahead and be SMART and DEAD.
Nobody provided much context to the survival scenario...but in any case, the top two items are water and a rifle+ammo. Everything else comes after that.

Come onto my property with a rifle in a SHTF scenario, and you are toast.
If your plan is simply to roam, taking the preparations of others, then good luck with that plan. God knows you will need it.

Wait. When did I say anything about romaing around and taking the preparations of others? Oh, I didn't. Someone else put those words in my mouth.
How much experience do you have with survival situations? Just curious...because I do. And I know what is the most important.

Rain barrels. Several of them. If you plan on having to grow your own food you will need a way to make sure the plants get the water they need.
Rain barrels also serve as an emergency stash of water for you. Get the kind with the screens and the tap.
You should also be getting the land that you may be using ready for planting. For example the soil in our area is mostly clay. We have brought in several truck loads of sand and worked it into the garden area that is currently in use and the area into which the garden would expand if necessary.

You said:
1. Rifle + ammo
2. Clean water
Everything else you can GET if you have the above ^
People are free to decide for themselves what you really meant. It is clear as day. You are denying it now because I called you out on your foolish comments.

Black pepper in sealed metal cans
Peppercorns
Salt
Other spices (keep in mind most have a maybe 2 yr shelf life)
Soap and shampoo - the small ‘motel’ sized ones - great for barter is nothing else. Easy to buy in bulk and store well.
You might want to consider a couple sets of extra stones or burrs for your wheat grinder.
ANy orthodics - get some extra, you might be walking a whole lot more
Extra bicycle tires and tubes, repair kits. We have purchased several older bikes just in case and they also make for great barter items.
Stove top oven for bread
Extra Bibles (2 or 3) once you start to shre, they wear much quicker
HAve fun.

Well it would help if people didn’t put words in my mouth. And I suppose you refuse to acknowledge that your interpretation of my meaning could be wrong?
It is ironic that I wrote “1. Rifle +ammo” and then you responded that “If I am the first house you stop by, you ill wind up dead”. Gee, how am I going to wind up dead if you don’t have a weapon?
Not that I’d be “stopping by houses”...the point here is that you argue against my point by proving it exactly!
How are you going to defend your property and loved ones without a weapon? Please tell me how that works.

Gee, how am I going to wind up dead if you dont have a weapon? The world is full of weapons. The vast majority of them are not firearms. People who know that will survive. People who are conditioned to see guns as the only weapons will die.
Your only weapon is what is between your ears. Everything else is just a tool.

They may look goofy but toss a couple of those head mounted flashlights, preferably the LED type that have red output, too. You can use those and keep your hands free. The red light won't wreck your night vision.I use those too but hang around my neck - hanging around the neck I can see all around me instead of just straight ahead and no blinding someone when you turn to look at them!
To: Harmless Teddy Bear
"The world is full of weapons."
Patently false. Did you have some other meaning?
"The vast majority of them are not firearms."
Okay sure...but how many of them are as good as a rifle?
"People who are conditioned to see guns as the only weapons will die."
Please name a weapon (an actual object, not a concept or idea) that ranks higher than a rifle on your survivalism list?
"Your only weapon is what is between your ears. Everything else is just a tool."
Semantic nonsense. Sounds like it belongs in a fortune cookie or something

If you have “a lot of firearms” then why are you on my balls for posting a survivalism list that ranks rifle+ammo as #1?
