LAS VEGAS - A 24-year-old Arab American from Michigan beat out 50 other women to take the 2010 Miss USA title Sunday night, despite stumbling in her evening gown.
Rima Fakih of Dearborn, Mich., won the pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip after strutting confidently in an orange and gold bikini, wearing a strapless white gown that resembled a wedding dress and saying health insurance should cover birth control pills.
When asked how she felt about winning the crown, she said, "Ask me after I've had a pizza."
"During the interview portion, Fakih was asked whether she thought birth control should be paid for by health insurance. "I believe that birth control is just like every other medication even though it's a controlled substance," Fakih said."

Was Ms. Fakih asked if she was genitally mutilated as is the mooslim way? Maybe she just got “clipped” as some medical group just approved. Enquiring minds want to know.
I also wanted Miss Maine to win. I do think Miss Michigan has gorgeous bone structure. Miss Oklahoma looks like she’s used a bit too much Botox, maybe — a bit plastic-y for me. And they’re all so, so thin. Ugh. ;(
Remove or see through the $500-worth of makeup and hairstyling, and 1/2 of these women are not very ravishing at all .....
Like mewzilla, I’ve known people who observed traditions from more than one religion. In my experience, it means that they’re more “culturally” Christian/Jewish/Muslim than anything else.
One of my husband’s coworkers is very “new-Agey”, but he still fasts for Ramadan and celebrates Eid. I also have Jewish friends who are atheists but still observe Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kuppur. I think for these individuals they like the message of the particular holidays.
But seriously, conservative Jewish/Christian/Muslim...of course they’re not.

Having said that, we can discern that she is conceited about whatever she does have to offer.

I wonder how much influence Miss USA’s Islamic sponsor Farouk Shami–the racist 9/11 Truther and Palestinian terrorism supporter whose Farouk Systems helped pay for the pageant and broadcast–had on this win. A lot, I’d bet, especially since Fakih tweeted gushingly about hanging out with him. He probably urged Trump and the judges to make sure his fellow Muslima won. After all, it makes no difference that she’s a Shi’ite and he’s a Sunni. She had the support of Sunni terrorists like Imad Hamad, who helped fund her bid. And, as anyone who knows anything about the Islamic world knows, they’ll happily put their internecine Shi’ite-Sunni war on hold, if it means helping Islam in its propaganda war and fight to take over the West.
(Yes, they are LAUGHING at U.S. again!)
A big disappointments was meeting a Playboy Bunny in Person. She was doing a personal appearance for some mens attire that advertised in the magazine. Long story short, I could have found 10 women that worked in that mall that were better built, better looking and more appealing. She was a HUGH disappointment. You are correct, make-up and wardrobe have much to do with the sex appeal of these magazine and TV babes; including beauty pageant entrants.
No, apparently her family are originally Sh’ia Lebanese; supposedly some relatives are involved with Hezbollah. That said, her personal background makes me think her immediate family are not very observant and are more assimilated.
Actually, from what I know female genital mutilation is not practiced by the Lebanese, nor the Saudis or some other Muslim countries. It is more often related to African cultures.

“The Masjid Mosque has raised $8.5 million and is seeking an additional $2.5 million to begin construction. While it apparently has not settled on a final location, it has told donors it plans to build very close to where 3,000 people were killed in the September 11 terror attacks.
In fact, the website appealing for donations boldly states that it plans to “build the ‘House of Allah’ next to the World Trade Center. Help us raise the flag of ‘LA ILLAH ILLA ALLAH’ in downtown Manhattan.”
