Great footage! The perspective is little deceiving on video #1 with the guy walking in front of the scene circa 3:15, but check out the boulder shot into the air circa 3:07...that is a huge piece of rock and it just hangs there. Amazing! [sorry, couldn't get the links clickable]

People go there??
Are they nuts??
Beautiful, terrifying and mesmerizing footage from the volcanic eruption in Iceland. I watched it all and wondered at what point do you yell “Let’s get the hell out of here!”
I slept on the Kilauea volcano on the big island of Hawaii...
I went to the active Mt. Aso volcano in Japan and had to run because of the sulphur alarms going off...
I would not want to be near this Icelandic volcano!
This footage is awesome.
Thanks for the link...that was amazing!
Someone needs to play the 1812 overture.
Now that is some amazing footage.
It’s tricky, maybe impossible to gauge the distance between the camera which took video #1 and the actual volcano. Clearly, there is a ridge, then a valley in between same. These things are distorted by perspective, etc;
I can easily say that a hardhat will not protect you from a rock the size of any one of: washing machine, car, bus, or house coming down on your head from several hundred feet in the air!
When is Obama going to give Iceland a stern talking to like he did BP?
I dunno, but I’d have to bet it will start with “For too long....
or,
“No longer can we tolerate the uncontrolled spewing of pollutants into the atmosphere we all breathe.”
