Classroom Maisano is a decorated student for at the United States Military Academy. He holds a 4.00 GPA in systems engineering, ranking him 19th academically in the USMA Class of 2010. He is in the top 5% of his class overall. He has received the Superintendent’s Award for Excellence every semester. Also, he is a three time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection, Dean’s List honoree every semester, Golden Key Honor Society member, and a Society of American Military Engineers member.

Character Serving as captain of the lacrosse team, Maisano is a member of the Brigade Chain of Command and is chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He completed Airborne School in the summer of 2008, is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and aspires to be a combat engineer upon graduation.

Community Maisano serves as company tutor, volunteers at the USA Lacrosse Clinic and Army Youth Lacrosse Clinic, and helped teach combatives at the USMA Prep School during the summer training period.

Competition He is the starting midfielder for the Black Knights. Was a starter for all 16 games as a junior and finished sixth on the team with 13 points and eight goals.

Classroom
Flick is the academic star on the Falcon lacrosse team, carrying a 3.46 GPA in Aeronautical Engineering, one of the most rigorous majors at one of the most challenging universities in the nation. During his studies, Flick has performed research that advanced current knowledge of plasma actuator use in controlling airflow. He also acted as the Team Lead in designing a light strike aircraft that is being placed into consideration for military use. Flick will graduate in May 2010 with a bachelor of science degree and a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Following graduation, he plans to enroll in pilot training to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot.

Team captain for the 2010 season, Flick is a leader for the Air Force squad. He is a recipient of the Falcons’ 100% Award, bestowed upon the players who give their all every time they step on the field. He was the Honor Representative for Cadet Squadron 27, and Wing Academics Non-Commissioned Officer, a position that was responsible for the academic standards and advancement of more than 4,000 cadets.

Community
Flick has been vigilant in remaining active throughout the local community. He and his teammates have visited several elementary schools in the area, demonstrating the sport of lacrosse to underprivileged children, while also speaking about the benefits of college education. In addition, he worked at several different holiday functions in the Colorado Springs area as an unpaid volunteer. Perhaps the most profound volunteer activity of which Flick has been a part was spearheading a team fundraising effort for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Inspired by the battle that one of his own family members was undergoing, Flick organized the participation of over 35 players and coaches in a local Race for the Cure, as the group was able to raise over $2700 for breast cancer awareness and research.

Competition
After playing just four games as a freshman, Flick has transitioned into one of the team's stars. Flick has developed into the Falcons’ top scoring threat and the team’s quarterback on the field. As a junior, he led Air Force in points (38) and assists (16), as the Falcons recorded one of their best seasons in the past decade. With a 7-7 record, the team posted its best winning percentage (.500) since 1997, while registering a 4-1 conference record, its best ever. The team, led by Flick, also finished second in the regular-season conference race, matching their all-time best finish (best since 1995). Named the team’s offensive MVP in 2009, Flick was also a second-team All-GWLL selection at attack, scoring at least one point in 13 of 14 games. He had three separate career-best five-point performances on the year in league wins over Quinnipiac, Ohio State and Denver. He finished season tied for second in the league and 16th in the nation in assists per game with 1.57 and was a two-time GWLL Player of the Week.
