yes the important thing is to never be definitive on time-frames or absolute conditions that will eventually be false.

How do you something will be false? Shouldn’t it be...may be false...? I don’t see how one could predict the future.

When the scientists were trying to trace what they eventually figured out was the Toba eruption 75,000 years ago, one of the volcanos they suspected was Laki.
Laki is the big Kahuna. TEOTWAWKI time!
If you use Google maps and look at Iceland, you can see that it looks like the whole island is a caldera!

I appreciate your assistance in what was a tongue twister. No prob. After first seeing the name of that volcano in the press, I just had to track down the pronunciation. It was driving me nuts.
Separating the name into syllables helps a bit, too:
Ey jaf jalla jökull
(Eye Yaff Yalla Yokull)
