PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Players Championship with an apparent injury on the seventh hole of the final round.
After hitting his tee shot on No. 7 far right Sunday, Woods called over an official. He hit his second shot and grimaced in apparent pain again.
Woods then walked to the middle of the fairway to shake hands with playing partner Jason Bohn before leaving on a golf cart.
Early reports say it is a neck injury and he will not play any further.

Just saw him being carted off the course in a wheelchair. I call BS. Chance of him quitting had he been close to the lead? Zero. He’s suffering the “injury” of embarrassment. ....getting his posterior kicked two weeks in a row now.
He bogeyed the final two holes yesterday, then had two more bogeys through the first six today to fall 12 shots behind the leader Westwood.
I’m pulling for Mickelson to have another great round like yesterday. He’s five shots back, so it will take something special for him to win it.
Tied for 43rd place, it sounds like “No mas” to me.

I agree. His little interview after The Masters was the final straw for me, it’s all about him and the heck with everyone else. He’s got a lot of growing up to do and probably not enough years left to do it.

I think he means by having a pain in the neck, his wife who is probably getting ready to take him to the cleaners. He is notorious for having short arms and deep pockets so if he is facing any dent in his assets, he is definitely upset.
Its simple, his muscular system is to big for his skeletal system. Same types of problems Bo Jackson had. First it was his knee, then his leg & now his neck. There are some not so nice PED side effects.
