If education was the true intention, universities would be better off installing cameras and servers to allow distance education services where students could attend classes from home.

Trying to normalize the idea of being tracked 24/7 in the mushy minds of the yutes. BTW, in my entire time at college, I think I only had one instructor take attendance. Are we trying to turn college into high school now? (don’t answer that, I know)
I guess they were right when they said don’t trust anyone over 30.
I guess AZ needs to do something with all that electronics equipment that the Federal Government won’t let them install along the border with Mexico.
This is stupid. The college gets paid whether or not the students attend class and if students choose not to attend a class, that is their own problem.
Why not just chip'em with implantable RFID?

There was one class I went to in college where I busted the grading curve every test, highest grade in the class sometimes by nearly ten points, and I only went to class for tests (because the guy instructing it was a lot more confusing than the textbook)...Attendance does not necessarily equal high grades and learning....
So, the savvy kid will walk past the classroom or lecture hall door, wave the card through the opening and keep walking as he is recorded “present”.
For $3 I’ll carry your card to class.
