Linda Lovelace was such a “star” as only an X-rated “actress” of that era could be. Of course it was all about money. In her earlier ventures she did a bestiality reel (dog). None of today's “actresses” could ever be as famous as Linda Lovelace and Marilyn Chambers because the market is saturated.

Back in the Lovelace era, X-rated stuff was cranked out in relatively expensive 35mm features, 16mm movies, and in cheaper Super 8mm. But it all had to go to pro-labs for processing. Today cheapie vid cams and web cams bring dirt cheap final production and the Internet provides world wide cheap marketing.

But the life and death of Linda Lovelace could be an interesting PG film if done right.

It is amazing the quality you can get these days for a relatively small price.
