An item in Screen News on image #2 caught my eye:

“Samuel Goldwyn, Mrs. Goldwyn, Alexander Korda and Merle Oberon, who is Mrs. Korda in Private life, will arrive here by plane Monday.

I didn’t know the part about Merle Oberon, but I do know that British movie producer Alexander Korda had a young nephew at this time who will grow up to be historical author Michael Korda. I recently finished Michael Korda’s account of the Battle of Britain, With Wings Like Eagles. I will very soon be posting an important excerpt from that book.
