What is going on the past few weeks? We have a torpedoed South Korean ship, a mysterious explosion in the Gulf of Mexico on an oil rig, a failed bomb attempt in NY city, and now a failed bomb attempt in Pittsburgh.

Actually, that’s not true. He did do something (at least, I’m pretty sure he did): He, through his media mouthpieces, minimized the coverage as much as possible, to make it look like there was nothing more than everyday events occurring. The same as he has done for Haiti, and any number of other crises around the world. Nothing must get out to make him look bad, be that a feckless response to spending, a completely unearned Nobel, a failed attempt to land the Olympics. All these stories died quickly. Haiti, the Middle East, his talk of 8% unemployment, all swept under the rug by his toadies.
