The people who are saying you should just go away are correct. I’ve been here since 98 and I don’t get invitations to come here. I just do it on my own. If I left nobody would miss me (some might celebrate).

FR is not something you have to “keep up with” in the same way as you might have to do the dishes or sweep the floor. Just log off and don’t come back. It’s easy.

I'd miss you Artemis. Ain't many old timers left. Course, we could always reminisce about A+Bert, Classy Green-Eyed Blonde, and mia-T.

I always get tickled when people say FR is getting too weird. There were some real corkers in the old bunch.

I hate to get serious on a Zot thread, but this sentence demands it:

“If I left nobody would miss me (some might celebrate).”

We’ve never butted heads in forum before (that I know), so you probably don’t recognize my nick. But I do recognize yours.

Would I “notice” if you stopped being a Freeper? I might not right away, but some Freepers would. And Free Republic would be lessened by your absence. I’d notice that.

In short, you do matter and you would be missed, even by people who didn’t know why there was a little more emptiness in their online world.
