ARABI A five-year-old boy received 32 stitches and will require plastic surgery after he was attacked by a neighbors pit bull while in his familys driveway Thursday night. The boy, whose name wasnt released by the Sheriffs Office, was treated at Tulane Medical Center after the incident in the 2200 block of Mehle Avenue in Arabi and has been released, St. Bernard Parish Chief Deputy Sheriff James Pohlmann said.
According to Pohlmann, the boy was outside playing with his Godfather in their driveway, when the pit bull, which was running free at the time, attacked the boy, biting him in the face before his Godfather hit the dog several times to get him to let go.
The dogs owner, Rosalie Aguilar, 47, who said the animal had never hurt anyone before, was cited by parish animal control officers for allowing the seven-month-old male pit bull to run free.
Beth Brewster, director of animal control, said the owner signed the dog over to the parish and because he would be deemed vicious and non-adoptable because of the unprovoked attack, the animal will be held 10 days and then euthanized.
The post is about the poster spreading his own brand of liberal intrusion.
Not dogs - pits.
my personal opinion is that a pit must always be restrained because you just simply never know.
My 1st pit was an extremely lovable dog toward us but became too good of a watchdog when she nearly munched on a cop’s leg who for whatever reason walked too close to her leash. Either she didn’t like the uniform or for whatever reason, it was really really close.
I hated to do it & unbelievably cried when I just had to put her down. I just could never look at her the same afterwards, nor could I risk te civil/criminal liability for her anymore.
Her daughter thankfully is much calmer than her mom but just as sweet.
As soon as a gun escapes from its home and runs down to the neighbor's house and mauls his 5 year old kid all on its own, then yes. That gun should be banned. Not only that, but people who continue to insist on owning such guns should be held legally liable such that any crime that that gun commits should be punished as though the owner himself committed the crime.
Wonder why if they're going to put it down they wait 10 days.
Most likely to make sure it doesn’t have rabies?
Usually its to see if it shows signs of rabies...
Ah, you’re at it again, Chet99.
Watch this, if you dare: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/372417/2270286
Powerful and quiet. All the pit-bull owner would ever know was that his killer dog had developed a hole in its chest cavity and died...
Easy to be afraid.
I’d run, get a gun, and take care of the bull. I buy my properties, did you marry for yours?
These evil dog threads are always entertaining.
And `tard magnets. Awooooooooohhhhhh!
another intellingent reply known only to you....hope you have a great week end........bye bye
Must be a city boy or girl to mistake a billy for a bull..LOL
"Channel your inner-Hippo"
"High County Archery"...that's a fine bow.
Just curious, what kind of arrows and broadheads do you use for dog hunting?
I have....
