"High County Archery"...that's a fine bow.

Just curious, what kind of arrows and broadheads do you use for dog hunting?

I don’t hunt dogs. But the HC 5.5gpi arrows with 100gr points are good for around 370 fps with any of the newer bows set at 70 lbs or just over and they’re quite strong. being fired from 80 lb bows doesn’t hurt them or the bow despite the seemingly impossible weight. What you really don’t want is an arrow doing an impersonation of a sine wave or wet noodle coming off the strings and they always used to think you needed weight to prevent that, but it’s no longer true; IF the lighter arrow is stiff enough, and the HC arrows are, then the lighter weight just translates into greater velocity and the momentum stays roughly the same as does the energy being xferred from the bow to the arrow.
