I’m having a real battle with them. Never signed up for their service, have a “past due” balance with them, had to close a bank account of mine they got their hands on so no more payments would be made to them, and now they are taking me to collection. My attorney and former bank have had several clients with the same problem.

How did that even start. I hope you sue - they shouldn’t just access your account

We are trying to find that out. My old bank is looking for when it started, and who authorized it. Should be interesting.

It sounds like the first-of-the-monthers aren't paying their bills. Maybe they're holding out for more of that Oboma money!

“AOL is still around?”

Amazing... I used them before the internet, but that was around 1988?

Good they deserve the fall just like CNN. Oh wait, that’s right they were partners in the biased, vile articles on Bush, Palin, Joe the plumber, well, any and all conservatives...

Excellent - now maybe they will pay attention to paying customers’ emails that protest their news coverage’s lib, dim, commie, eco-nazi bias...yeah, I know, we could go else where but it’s a real pain...would rather b*tch about it...

After repeated attempts to cancel in the late 90’s i ended up having to close a checking account to get them of my back.
Screw them!!

I can’t believe they still exist.

Did they ever come after you to collect? (So I can know what to expect)

That is what my ex bank is trying to find out - as well as who approved it initially.

My attorney is very interested in this....

I think i got letters for a while and just ignored them.

Every time i tried to call to cancel i went away with yet another 6 months of free service.
I should of been more demanding in hindsight.
After about 18 free months i forgot to “cancel” it again until i found out a checking account i had became overdrawn.
I figure that if i can’t cancel my subscrition i will just cancel their money supply.

Gee, and Steve Case thought he was to become ruler of the world.
I can’t believe AOL is still around.
