Iron Man 2 -- Film Review: Bottom Line: Now he's the Tin Man.
Hollywood Reporter ^ | April 27, 2010 | Kirk Honeycutt

In its place, "Iron Man 2" has substituted noise, confusion, multiple villains, irrelevant stunts and misguided story lines. A film series that started out with critical and commercial success will have to settle for only the latter with this sequel; Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Tony Stark/Iron Man will assure that.

Even if it really sucks the movie will still pull in over $200 MM box office.

The critics beat mercilessly on Transformers 2 and it made insane gobs of money.

They were goo goo over Robert Downey’s comeback until he revealed his conservative leaning political opinions. What would you expect from these yahoo leftist critics.

It will make tons of money.

Mickey Roarke as a demented Russian scientist... that could be either really good or "Grindhouse" bad.

Currently at 81% on RottenTomatoes, while it looks like most concede that it isn’t as good as the first it is still pretty good. And of course Robert Downey Jr is excellent. The wisdom of the crowd is usually much better than any one critic.

Okay, I'll admit to enjoying that part. The rest of the movie - not so much.

Grindhouse ... sigh, it was the whole floppy hand thing. (shakes head). But the second half of Deathproof was rather interesting.

Probably shouldn't admit I sat through a double showing, although it was at home. :-)
