Quite right. How about this scenario:
It is 2018. National Socialized Healthcare is in full awful bloom. A Death Panel just denied a life extending procedure to your spouse or child. You are at wits end because, just last year it became a felony to contract privately with a doctor or hospital for any care whatsoever. What do you do?<
Call your Congressman, just as generations of citizens did when they had disputes with Social Security or Medicare. The difference is that National Socialized Healthcare affects everyone, not just seniors and your Congress-clown is swamped with requests for intervention.
The harried staffer who finally talks to you does not ask your party affiliation or whether you have donated to the Congressman's campaign coffers, because those delicate political questions can be answered elsewhere. The answers BTW will determine your probability of getting help.
What matters is that you, a once proud and free citizen is reduced to a sniveling serf who prays for help from a thug Master in a government which long ago discarded our Constitution and now rules by force.
