This needs to be stopped, right away . . . by intervention, if necessary. Once a sea lion has gotten a taste of the sun, he might never stop sunning himself.

I found a dead seal about 10 miles inland in Namibia - had to have been drug there by a lion or hyena. Nonetheless, very weird sight in the middle of the desert. Here's a shot of jackals living among the seals...

I heard that the Government dropped their case against the seal.

There most be a joke in there somewhere! Instead, here’s one I saw on FR recently (paraphrased).
This sea lion drops his car off at the mechanic as it is running rough. He takes a stroll along the boardwalk while he waits, watches the ocean, grabs an ice cream cone and heads back to the shop. The mechanic sees him and says “it looks like you blew a seal.”

There is a resemblance...maybe the sea lion was looking for a stage and a piano. ; )

*groan*, lol.
I was wondering about the difference between seals and sea lions. True seals don’t have ears...sea lions do.

Just want to give kudos to jellybean for that great FReepathon promo at the top of this thread.
Give it a listen everyone, and then go donate to Free Republic if you haven’t already! Let’s help keep FR alive!

Dean Gomersall, an animal care supervisor at the marine mammal center, told the Newport Beach Daily Pilot the sea lion weighed 32 pounds, a little underweight. He said the animal also had a small cut on its nose. He's not covered by Obummer care cause he does not have a birth certificate. How ever once immigration reform is completed he will be cleared for Medicaid, Social Sealcurity and a well paying job at Marine World!
