Finally...a real woman in a commercial! I personally didn’t see anything wrong with that commercial. If you can show 2 1/2 men at 6:30 in the evening then this commercial should be acceptable.

Just 30 years ago,you wouldn’t have seen such a commercial. Given tv’s progression into moral decay, this ad is no more censorious than countless others blithely viewed every day. In fact, there are many worse.
Ordinarily I jump onto a thread with a quickie comment based on initial impressions, but I feel this topic warrants a more thorough examination of the dynamics and parameters before I come to any conclusions.
Considering there’s an erectile dysfunction ad with naked couples in outdoor bathtubs every ten minutes nowadays, this “controversy” does seem a little silly.
She’s beautiful. VS is much racier.
I admit getting a little grossed out at some of the Victoria’s Secret ads. There’s one model where you can actually see her ribs. As in so visible you can count them. She looks like she stepped out of a concentration camp rather than off a runway. Skeletons wearing underwear are not really sexy.
Size 16? That is frickin’ HUGE...... That is like 210+ pounds or something.
I'd sooner be seen arm in arm with her than with any of the model types who sport the starved-junkie look.
She's right....but not like she intended...America is not getting taller and bigger boned like her....she did not seem fat...just a big supple gal
But America...women in particular are getting fat...much more so. Too much time sitting on their asses like we are doing right now on this forum. People can rationalize it all day and night with terms like big boned and whatnot but unless you truly are like this model is then you're fooling yourself.
All these teenaged girls with 5-6 inch muffins hanging out their jeans and boobs spilling out are just fatter...not bigger boned....and truly obese is now an epidemic especially amongst poor whites, latinos and blacks....incredible.
the handwringing over unreasonable thinness and anorexia is part canard...obesity is 1000 times the issue that is. I'm old enough to recall when precious few gals were truly fat..and almost no men were.

i think the model in this ad is very comely and her face and body and those God given sweater kittens are amazing...the ad is nothing new by today's standards...can't see why they jerked it
Okay, considering the kind of commercials that get cleared for prime time and earlier these days, you’ll forgive me if I’m having real difficulty understanding what would be all that wrong with Lane Bryant commercials featuring the lovely Ashley talking very mildly naughty. Badly needed class, in my opinion. What’s the matter, did Seacrest complain?
