British woman cooks with breast milk

CLIFTON, England, - A British woman who uses breast milk in food she serves to friends and sells to strangers said she turned to her own milk for its health benefits.

Abi Blake, 30, of Clifton, England, said her breast milk tarts, smoothies, lasagna, cheesecake and other dishes have proven popular with friends, family and customers for their health benefits and better taste, The Sun reported Thursday.

"Although the idea of eating something made out of someone else's breast milk may make some people's stomachs turn, it is full of vitamins that can never be found in cow's milk," Blake said. "I have managed to convert all my family who now adore my breast milk recipes and they all agree it tastes better."

Blake said her breast milk cupcakes have proven popular at multiple food festivals.

"Many customers were intrigued and thought it was a novelty," she said. "But what most people don't know is that breast milk contains nutrients that can help the immune system and even treat cancer. It is such a precious ingredient and if people would only try it, they would discover all its wonderful benefits."

I was kidding. Breast milk of a healthy woman is probably as close to ambrosia as is possible. I also think Moms are the best thing on Earth.

Is that enough butt kissing for today? :)

Recognize the fish and chips...but what is the green stuff?

Mushy peas.

They are always served with fish and chips in northern England. I liked them!

I’ll admit: add some malt vinegar, and lots of it, along with a pint of brown ale, and that’s pretty good eating.

After noticing that I was nursing the new baby, my then 4 yr old son told me that he thought it was gross that I fed the baby from my body. I explained that this was how God made it possible for babies to eat. I added that this was how I fed him as well. His face drained of color and I found him 20 minutes later still lying in his bed trying to recover from the horror of it all.

I spent some time in Yorkshire a few years back for work.

I know everyone says that British food is notoriously bad, but I actually enjoyed the fish and chips and even the mushy peas.

Another favorite was steak and kidney pie. Simply outstanding.

Yes, I have, and it's very tasty. I also had Toad in the Hole.

No, I never tried Spotted Dick. LOL
