I have maintained for a long time that you could eliminate the
drug trade entirely by eliminating 50 dollar bills and
making 100 dollar bills like checks, one time use, sign and
print your name.

It would be hard to run a drug cartel on 20 dollar bills.
Just the overhead from the warehouse space would be a killer.

IIRC, that may have been the reasoning behind dropping the $1,000 bill from circulation.
