Can you trust Washington?
Nearly 80 percent of Americans say they can't and they have little faith that the massive federal bureaucracy can solve the nation's ills, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center that shows public confidence in the federal government at one of the lowest points in a half-century.

Only 78 per cent?
and why this poll is utterly useless is due to the fact that OBama got elected.
If you want it fixed, dump Obama and the rest of the corrupt bastards in power.
Exactly. I have a friend who agrees with me on nearly every political point.....he voted for Obama. Auuuuuughhhhh! He regrets it now but the damage is done. On the other hand, Mcamnesty would have done a lot of damage too.
People need to stop being stupid, isn’t there a pill for that or something?
I would be interested in having a poll done where they first ask this question, and then ask which party you think represents big government. Sad to say I’d bet about half don’t make the connection.
And yet, over 50% voted for the biggest big government President since Franklin D Roosevelt.
Go figure.
Yeah...he is such a clean black guy...what could go wrong?? (sarc./)
Mass media are highly practiced in the art of subtle deception. They knew O-fool was creature of the far left, but they encouraged the campaign’s lie that he was, if anything, a barely left-of-center politician. Most people voted with this in mind. Stupid voters not caring enough to do their own homework. Too busy to surf the Web a little bit. The Republic is in serious jeopardy because of their carelessness.
How about dont trust gubmint of any size?
Why yes there is.Its called your boot in his backside.
But the sheep keep voting for it.
I don’t think the number was nearly this high before The Kenyan was elected. There was probably 5 to 10% of the electorate that looked at how the GOP and Bush were spending at a reckless rate and said “Well, they’re spending worse than the damn Democrats! Let’s go back to the Democrats, since they might show some fiscal responsibility by comparison.”
Well, in the last year, everyone sees that that was a bad, bad bet. And it isn’t going to change anytime soon.
The GOP lost their reputation as the fiscally responsible party from 2000 to 2008, and moreover, McCain blew his chances when he didn’t know what to do during the financial melt-down.
Even now, I have to say that the GOP is stupid beyond description on the issue of bank fraud and the reckless bailouts of banks. There is regulation (and re-regulation) that is needed, and the GOP just sits around, doing nothing about the issue at all. What is a voter supposed to think? Today we have a choice between the corrupt party (D) and the stupid party (R).
This is about as futile as the South Park choice between a douche and a turd sandwich.
