It has been hard for me to deal with the death of a pet.
When I had to put them down I shed some tears.
“It has been hard for me to deal with the death of a pet.
When I had to put them down I shed some tears.”
A few years back, my Black Lab of 12 years finally couldn’t live without pain and I had to bring her to the vet for a shot...I found out why he called it “putting her to sleep”...while I held her she gave out a big contented sigh, just like she used to at the end of the day when she curled up at the foot of the bed, went limp and went to sleep for the last time. She was my last dog.
Remember Mr. Bojangles?
“He danced for those
at minstrel shows and county fairs
throughout the south
He spoke with tears of 15 years of how his dog and him
just traveled about,
His dog up and died,
he up and died,
and after 20 years he still grieves...”
I used to think it was corny. Maybe I’m getting old.
Massive tears on the death of any of my pets. They are loved ones.
