Explanation: After an oxygen tank exploded and crippled their service module, the Apollo 13 astronauts were forced to abandon plans to make the third manned lunar landing. The extent of the damage is revealed in this grainy, grim photo, taken as the service module was drifting away, jettisoned only hours prior to the command module's reentry and splashdown. An entire panel on the side of the service module has been blown away and extensive internal damage is apparent. Visible below the gutted compartment is a radio antenna and the large, bell-shaped nozzle of the service module's rocket engine. On April 17, 1970 the three astronauts returned safely to Earth.

If you noticed, I quoted what he said and followed it with a nonsense question. I made no statement of fact that required substantiation.
I was jibing him for believing a mythos without firm evidence like the moon landing being faked but not trying to cause hurt feelings. I wasn’t trying to be sarcastic, maybe a winky face would have been appropriate.
I’d say they were VERY prepared in this case.
I'm surprised that you did not know this about Hoagland.
He did extensive analysis in the past regarding NASA flights (their timing and destinations) and the connection with Masonic rituals and what he calls hyperdimensional physics. He has several chapters about this in his previous book, and used to have a lot on his website, but it has been deleted.
He has quieted down about this subject for some reason......

Apollo 13: at 1300 hours on April 13, the catastrophe occurred. I remember it; the entire world was on eggshells, even the USSR offered helped. Prayers were offered from every nation for our astronauts safe return.
One of the few times in history that the world was as one.
Now a goodly portion of the world cheered when the Columbia burnt up because one of its astronauts was an Israeli.
Interesting . . . probably to stay alive . . . or because his handlers ordered him to.

Re Hoagland . . . I go through periods of being quite tired of the stuff and needing to keep tabs on it. And while I’ve always thought Hoagland had some accurate insights and facts . . . trying to weed out the chaff has always been a major chore with his stuff . . . one I don’t enjoy. So, I haven’t always kept close tabs on him every month.
