A. Its not medicine.

If it is, tell me what it cures and then show me they can’t get it prescribed for other things.

B. Why are they giving it to kids?

It's insanity.

There is NO medical use for marijuana.

The part of marijuana that increases appetite, has been isolated and available for many years by prescription through a doctor. THAT is not what they want. They want the MIND ALTERING part of the drug. Wake up sheeple. Stop letting bleeding heat liberals EXPLOIT you. Use common sense, or a change.

Its not like their being prescribed a pill with the active ingrediant. Which is very possible.

Plus they are prescribing it to children for anything at all.

All you need is quack!

All you need is quack, quack, quack

In a short time a little ‘twitch’ from the San Andreas fault will deliver the final ‘judgment’ on LA’s morality, and it’s many alternative attributes, or maybe not!
I’m so glad i’m ‘FROM’ the City Of The Angels.

Over two hundred stores in Denver, more pot stores than Starbucks. The California vote in November will be watched with interest in Colorado. 13 states now have legal medical marijuana. Hopefully the Mexican pushers will be out of business before too long.

“Its not like their being prescribed a pill with the active ingrediant. Which is very possible.”

No! Of course not. Cancer patients have the active ingredient available to help them keep or put on weight when they have cancer or another medical problem. I forget the name of it. It's easily available from a reputable doctor.

“Plus they are prescribing it to children for anything at all.”

Yeah, they want the kids high too.

“All you need is quack!

All you need is quack, quack, quack”

They might as well make heroin, cocaine, crack and meth available in these “shops”. They alter your mind and eventually destroy you. It's just a matter of how fast it does it - varies by drug.

Terrorist don't’ have to destroy us. We're doing that ourselves with ILLOGICAL “compassion” that is destroying us. They are lying to you about being "compassionate" - it's all about getting HIGH. In this situation, it's the MIND ALTERING part they want.

There is NO medical use for marijuana.

Actually, marijuana can help combat nausea in cancer patients receiving chemo, and it reduces intraocular pressure associate with glaucoma, reducing the pain experienced by people with that affliction.

Marijuana certainly does have medicinal value that has been recognised by the medical community.

“A. Its not medicine.

If a “cure” is the criteria for being a medicine, then about 98% of the drugs a doctor prescribes isn’t medicine.

“There is NO medical use for marijuana.”

Yes there is. It helps my friend’s pain after losing both breasts and some lymph nodes to cancer. She was addicted to pain pills and needed to get off them. She is happier now, off oxycontin and harming no one.

Oh stop it!

I am not a fool. It is not my EMOTIONS that run me. Perhaps you need to face facts. You are being taken for a fool.

"Some parents didn’t like the message they believed the dispensaries communicated to their kids: that marijuana was an ordinary commodity that could be sold openly without fear of legal repercussions. They also worried that kids might obtain marijuana from patients, which local journalists have found happens occasionally. Mostly, marijuana just kind of freaks some people out."

Yep, sure does. I expect this thread will be full of posts about the evils of this stupid drug. But I can't see it as any more stupid than any other drug, which is why I don't think smoking, possessing or selling it should be prohibited. At least, not any more prohibited than other activities I wouldn't do but don't hurt me, personally, if others do.

So the question to you is, if the reasons to stop this are because A) it's not medicine and B) kids could (not DID, could) get it, what's different about alcohol and tobacco?

Yeah, that’s why my post-liver-transplant wife, who’s been in the hospital 107 straight days with almost continuous nausea, was told by her doctor that he wished he could prescribe the “real thing” for her instead of Marinol because it was more effective. Of course, he’s just a top transplant surgeon at the largest medical center in the world...and no doubt a bleeding “heat” liberal with no common sense who’s out to EXPLOIT her.

Its not medicine.

Who says it has to be medicine?

It is no different than alcohol and should be treated the same.

I knew a woman in a marijuana illegal State whose life was extended by about six months solely because of marijuana. An older, very conservative Catholic lady, she was advised by her chemotherapy physician to obtain and use, “the ‘M’ herb”.

She had been unable to consume either pills or liquid for a week, and the marijuana not only allowed her to consume a large amount of food and drink, but also to take the extraordinary number of pills needed to fight her cancer. Had she begun her therapy just a month earlier, she might had survived the disease.

As those rules suggest, city officials are not prepared to treat marijuana like any other medicine, despite a 1996 state ballot initiative that allows patients with doctor’s recommendations to use it for symptom relief. It’s hard to imagine the city council arbitrarily limiting the number of pharmacies, insisting that they not do business near competitors, creating buffer zones between parks and Duane Reade locations, or demanding that patients obtain their Lipitor from one and only one drugstore. Such restrictions reflect marijuana’s dual identity in California: It is simultaneously medicine and menace

It's only "medicine" because a bunch of rich hardcore leftists brainwashed enough people into voting that it's a medicine.

ROFLMAO! You demand a medical utility for the drug, he provides one, and you start intimating how some people are fools ruled by their...now, let me get this right...EMOTIONS! Oh, yeah, that crazy misguided SaxxonWoods sure benefited from your cold, logical, persuasive commentary. /sarc

The facts simply aren’t on your side, or you’d be arguing them instead of yelping about how people who disagree with you are fools. Wait, were you going say something about the the possibility of danger to “the children!” too? Seeing as how there hasn’t been anything like that, after your worst anti-pot nightmare has come true in LA, I guess that old dog don’t hunt no more.
