Times up conservatives. We must now unite and we must now rally to save Indiana from the Democrats. The time is now. There can be no more waiting.
For months conservatives have sat on the sidelines in the Indiana Senate race. The NRSC dragged former Senator Dan Coats from North Carolina to Indiana and put him into the race. They said he would be warmly re-embraced by the Indiana conservative grassroots. They said he could raise between $500,000.00 and a million dollars. They said he was a perfect fit.
Now, like in Florida, we must save the NRSC from itself and save Indiana from the Democrats.
No more sitting on the sidelines. The numbers are in. Coats is not raising the money they said he could raise. Hes not even close to the low ball expectation others set for him. He is not getting the grassroots support they said he could get. He is going to lose the NRA endorsement to the Democrat more likely than not.
Conservatives nationally must drop what they are doing, focus on Indiana, and rally to Marlin Stutzman. The election is 19 days away.
Across Indiana, Marlin Stutzman is gaining traction. He is winning straw poll after straw poll. He is raising money. He is getting endorsements across the state from legislators, pro-life groups, farmers real people in Indiana and experienced Republicans.
The conservative grassroots in Indiana have made the call not me, not national leaders. It is time to rally to them. I stepped up. I made the call to go with Marlin Stutzman when others were telling me to go with Coats.
Ive prayed for him. Ive given him money. Ive spent my time pounding the keys on my keyboard for him. It is your turn.
Get up conservatives. Get up and fire up. We must unite. We must do it now. There is no time left. The primary is on the horizon, just 19 days away on May 4, 2010.
Stop dithering. Stop debating. Stop waiting for Coats to deliver what the NRSC said he would deliver and that we now know he cannot.
Go with Marlin Stutzman. He will not disappoint you. Lets help him and together put Indiana in the GOP column come November. Coats cannot win. Marlin Stutzman can and will.
I aim to win. I hope conservatives nationally will aim to win too.
Richard Behney is one we should be supporting, no one else.
They've been sitting on the sidelines all over the place for decades. I say "Screw it." I did my part holding the line from 1988 on while everyone else went off playing with their cars, boats and wide-screen TVs, ignoring what was coming down all around them.
NOW you're whining, weeping and wailing when the chickens you allowed to hatch come home to roost.
Screw it. It's your fault, you fix it. I helped hold the line as best I could, but I require some R&R. It's up to you all, if you're men enough to do anything but whine.
When I am ready to return, I fully expect to see all the battles lost. That's what I think of you lazy whiners.
America -- a great idea, didn't last.
AND MY POST IS GONE AGAIN FROM BREAKING!!! WHY ARE MY POST ALWAYS REMOVED FROM BREAKING!!! And then 10 minutes later I see the EXACT same post posted in breaking again and STAY there. Is it a question of money??? Do I have to pay for being in breaking? Would like to know!!!
Quite so. In Orange County (SoCal), we look at Red State the same way we look at the New Majority, Big Tent RINO Central (RNC), NRCC and NRSC. Avoid them all like the plague.
Red State was one of the main sponsers of the queer Log Cabin republicans group at this years CPAC convention. This was discussed previously on FR.
Not from Indiana, but anyone who uses that "back of the line" nonsense should not be trusted. Back of what line? Where is that line? Who is already in that line?
"Back of the line" is just a weasel phrase used by weasels who are too cowardly to just come out and say they are for amnesty.
Exactly. The back of the line is in their home country. There are nearly 3 million intending immigrants abroad who have completed all of the necessary paperwork and are now awaiting their turn to enter. By allowing these people to stay, you are putting them at the front of the line.
John opposes the government takeover of the US health care system being considered in Congress. The people of the United States of America enjoy the best health care system in the world. In order to optimize the access to our current system, Congress should allow for more competition and work to reduce health care costs by:
- Building on the success of Health Savings Accounts by making 100% of health insurance premiums either deductible or a tax credit
- Creating Health Marts which allow individuals and families to negotiate, collectively, for health care services based on where they live
- Creating Association Health Plans which allow individuals and families to negotiate, collectively, for health care services based on an association defined by profession, religion, membership in an organization, etc.
- Allowing health insurance plans to be purchased across state lines
- Enacting tort reform that will result in lower health care costs because medical professionals will not be compelled to practice defensive medicine which they do now for no other reason than to defend themselves in a potential lawsuit
As Indianas next senator, John will oppose any expansion of the federal government into our health care system and work to repeal any such expansion that may happen this year as a result of the enactment of ObamaCare.
Where does he stand on immigration and how does he propose to deal with the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens already here?
Exactly correct.
I’m a Hoosier. Why would I vote for Stutzman? He’s a RINO!!! ANY of the other candidates would be a better choice for real conservatism.
My 1st choice would be Behney and that’s who I’m voting for, 2nd would be Hostettler, 3rd Bates, then Coates.
Stutzman is dead last. I would only vote for him if my other choice were a Democrat.
I’m with you! Behney is an outsider. I want a non-politician to represent me this time and Behney is strong in the north right now and is working hard. He needs exposure south of I-70 though. Bates is the only other that has not been in the political arena, but as the Indianapolis Tea Party founder, Richard is a direct Tea Party born candidate - pure grass roots background.. and a Reagan-type through and through..
On the presidential front, I want Hannity to run and I hope the Tea Party folk call him out to do his duty with destiny and take Obummer on one on one!
Hostettler gave me Ellsworth-less in my district thanks to his poor campaigning and he was at one time for term limits.
I will help him out with the term limits now. John go back to the private sector!
No one will agree with you on everything.
I stand down. Please make it clear who is best and why!
Putting it up on the breaking news sidebar is far more than just posting somebody's article. Further, he endorsed it's position and in doing so willfully misrepresented the situation.
Any legislation that legalizes the status of those who broke our laws by entering our country illegally and allows them to stay is amnesty. We must not only prevent the Democrats and some moderate Republicans from hijacking the meaning of the word amnesty, but the public must be made aware about the true impact of an amnesty. The Heritage Foundation concluded that the cost of amnesty alone would be $2.6 trillion. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen.
America -- a great idea, didn't last.
Speaking of whiners.
Hoestettler graduated from the same college as I did. I met him (while he was still a rino congressman) at an alumni meeting. We all stood up and announced our year of graduation, major, and current employer.
This dipsh— said that he was employed by the US government.
A congressman that thinks that he is employed by the government is not a conservative.
He lost his seat when he had family filling many major positions (like his sister was his campaign manager.) The man is a pussy.
