To their chagrin, they learned that conservatives have got hold of their Saul Alinsky readers. The hippies were immediately surrounded and shouted down with a roaring "USA!" chant. YES!!

One of the best things about this group was a Brian Reilly campaign staffer who stopped to chat with me. He noticed I was wearing a fleece vest with a Ruger logo. He started telling me about the Ruger 556 that he just bought. He got a great deal on it, too. I love this state!
Brian Reilly’s campaign slogan is “Fire Debbie Wasserman- Shultz.” Wasserman=Schultz is the current representative for Florida’s 20th district and is generally considered a nut by Free Republic.
PS: In case any of the liberal trolls and lurkers here are having a nervous tic because a campaign staffer just bought an assault rifle, HE BOUGHT IT AT A GUN SHOW. Have a nice siezure.

Here is one of the aforementioned hippies:

I saw this kid talking to one of the Broward County Sheriff's Deputies after the rest of his group skulked away. In all honesty, the kid was polite and courteous to the deputy. I got the impression that the cops broke it up and made the hippies leave because the old guy was about to rip their heads off. :)

sig226, I was the man with a giant "Don't Tread on Me" flag and the "Edward Lynch U.S. Congress" sign who complemented your vest.
I'm so sorry but I had no Idea that You were another FReeper in the crowd !
Next time, I'll be sure to meet up and introduce myself proper.

That old man has a few years on me, but I don’t think I’d get in his face like that. Old age and treachery beats youth and enthusiasm every time.

I was looking for another thread that may have been started for our Florida Tea Party after action reports. Seeing none, I am about to ping FL freepers to the thread I started a couple days ago. Here is the thread link!

Remind me tommorrow. I’ll be working with some of the insiders from Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach, they should have some contacts. Allen West spoke at both events, so if you contact his campaign, they might also be able to help you find websites and contacts for the organizers. I heard about it from friends.
