When he gets it working, Mr Lu had better see if it processes a laser pointer without crashing.

A cat can recognize a face faster than most humans on hash bash day in Ann Arbor.
Trust me.
I have run the “Michigan Mile” which is not the same day but at the same level of intoxication.

There’s the larger cat family brain: eyes paw coordination - premier solo hunting-killing machines, and there’s also the domesticated cat brain - specialized in using humans to get what they need through socialization. Complex little package they have there. I have both cat and dogs - the dogs want to share in our lives, the cats do too, but keep the bottom line of self preservation closer to the forefront of their consciousness.

If you were small enough, your cat would eat you.
Are we sure that we want robots with cat brains?

The article discusses the brain of the cat processing the shortest distance to the sofa.
Anyone who knows cats and observes them knows that cats have a peculiar sense of geometry. They sometimes zig and they zag, in three dimensions, when going from A to B. The shortest distance is not always the cat path of choice.
