Do you have kids?

Nope but I've done more than my share of child rearing including infants. When I was 21 years old I had a newborn dropped in my lap because the mother remained in the hospital for several weeks. I later met a woman a few days after her son was born and ended up marrying her before the child was a year old.

There's something wrong with this story. I just can't see a parent of a newborn sleeping so deeply they she wouldn't hear something.

Now that I can certainly agree with. Moms, even new moms, especially new moms, usually sleep much lighter, not heavier!

Congrats on babysitting duty. But it’s simply NOT the same as carrying a baby for 9mos and giving birth. Your body doesn’t bounce back that fast after only a week.
