So the bees dont open it. DUH! Ah yes, I had entirely forgotten about those nasty "door opener bees.
Lock the door and pray that a swarm of "lock picker bees are not in the vicinity.

I've spent a lot of time sitting 3 or 4 feet from the entrance of a beehive photographing them. I don't wear any protective gear. Bees land on me, check me out and go about their business.
The first time I jump up, start waving my arms and screaming they will attack. It's up to you how they react to you! What would you do if someone came at you screaming and waving their arms?

I don’t go up to them. They come up to me, and I get the hell away from them.

I wonder if the African bees really attack without a triggering action? It kills them when they sting, it would be counterproductive to waste that many workers just stinging everything in sight. If the most common human response to the sight of bees is irrational thrashing around bee attacks are to be expected.

Yep, and your panic triggers a defensive response. They think you’re up to something. Bees aren’t liberals, they believe in self defense.

G*d help us... Get a grip. Bees swarm all the time, happens every year and a car is just as good a place as any for a swarm to land. I had a swarm on my house two years ago. Swarms are quite common.
