bump
Fox News is unbearable on Saturdays.
Same deal with the earthquake in Haiti. Fox News is slooowwww when it comes to covering major news. I’m not quite sure what the problem is.
I agree. Except for Drudge I can find no information (on TV that is).
Perhaps the Saudis don’t think it’s all that important.
Personally I’d rather they waited till they know something before rushing to report on speculation.
This is why CNN rules. CNN does great breaking news.
And when the Friends did report it, Dave coughed during the entire segment. I changed the channel.
FoxNews doesn’t do breaking news on weekends,
unless it is really, really, really important or
news about Anna Nichole Smith.
Fox News sucks when it comes to events like this. I switched to CNN when the Haiti earthquake hit.
Shut up and watch CNN.
I do not even turn fox, or any other news station, on over the weekened. But especially fox. I have no need to know what geraldo or huckabee thinks about anything on this earth. I really can’t tolerate Julie Banderas’ dramatic teleprompter readings anymore either.
Assassinated
They seem to get left in the dust by CNN when these big international events happen.
I always assume it’s do to their lack of resources overseas.
I noticed that this morning before going to work. They are paying very little attention to an ally’s national tragedy.
CNN International (grrr) has the best coverage on this...it’s usually buried in the basic channel lineup.
FOX has always sucked when covering unexpected, breaking, major news stories on a weekend.
After reporting that the crash occurred, anything else would be way too boring. Whoever heard of Poland anyway? (sarc) Who wants to spend their Saturday morning listening to a bunch of newsreaders try to fill up dead air saying “How many dead? 84? 88? 96? 136? And who was on board?” If that’s all they can do it’s better to wait until they can get more solid information and some top international analysts to assess the political implications. The problem with “breaking news” like this is that after the initial report there is nothing of interest in terms of solid info (and not just wild speculation) for many many hours, or even a day or three.
