Carol Burnett came from a time when America’s pop culture stars had dignity and class. And they were far more funny than the current crap - I mean crop - of pop stars today.
Her “Gone with the Wind” was one of the great comedy sketches in history.
I loved her variety show. Not much on TV to watch anymore.
I thought she was pretty good in Rowan and Martin’s “Laugh-In.”
Conway and Korman, one of the greatest comedy duos of all time.
That was a great TV show and a really classy lady. I saw the cover of the book and Carol still looks great at 76. Her and Lucille Ball are women comedians that come from a time when people could make you laugh without using the ‘F’ word all of the time. I think I’d be shocked to ever hear Carol Brunette swear. I’m happy I was able to “spend a little time together” with her over the years...
I have damn near 100 channels on my dish and it’s a shame that (often times) the best thing on television are the Carol Burnett and/or Dean Martin 30 minute infomercials.
“Conway and Korman, one of the greatest comedy duos of all time”.
...Korman especially! His timing is perfect!
I don’t remember Carol Burnett on Laugh In, she may have been a guest from time to time though.

I never thought either she or Lucille Ball was particularly funny, but I guess the humor was wholesome enough. . BTW, how did her first husband get along after she dumped him?
And Conway was so good at improvising he’d regularly make the other cast members laugh hysterically in the middle of the sketches.
I recently saw (again) the Law & Order: SVU episode she did. I highly recommend it.
