That's a good point. Oh, I know! Let's get rid of all of the carbon on and in the earth! That would fix everything!

On the sincere side, it's strange to see the hyperbolic efforts of each of the various energy interests in trying to defame the others. Wind and solar energy can work for off-grid folks depending on climates, construction, etc. The better wind turbine systems require brutally windy climates (like mine) and far better construction than what is commercially available, though. Solar requires exceptional numbers of sunny days, but for heating (radiant with collectors), it can work well in most climates with the right kinds of open loop, drainback systems (requires much more labor and less ready-made components).
