>>Crystal is a good singer, but has zero likability or charisma. <<
As with others, I respectfully disagree. I think a lot here are reading their political objections to her into what they call “likability.”
She is a but of a freak and God knows a loonie leftie. But if you didn’t feel the connection she made on that last song (for example), you folks are the one who has put up the screen — IMHO she is accessible and personable.
Listen to this montage — she nailed it all night.
A good manager will make her a big star — not Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson, but better than all the rest.
Which isn’t a high bar, admittedly: http://www.forbes.com/2010/05/25/carrie-underwood-clarkson-daughtry-business-entertainment-american-idol.html?boxes=businesschannelsections
What you write is true.
I don’t think she nailed it.
Do I think she was better than Lee tonight? yes
But it wasn’t that great. A lot of screaming.
Black Velvet is a sultry, sexy song. Crystal may be talented but sexy she is not.
(She actually reminded me a little like our first lady (Michelle) line-backer tonight.)
Wearing that black dress, legs spread wide apart. Did no one teach her how to stand like a lady? Feet together.
My normally quiet husband even commented on the un-lady like stance.
It was OK, but not great.
I gave my votes to Lee. I like him better.
We shall see.
