But that doesn't change the fact that he's annoyingly smug.

Nobody who's been through a judges' save option on that show is smug. He knows he's in trouble every week...yet he comes out and sings his ass off.

And both he and Idol never fail to remind us that he had a baby. Did you know he had a baby? :)

So what? They do the same for Crystal Bowersox, who is annoyingly lippy and deserves to win. They call her "Mama Sox." Why not complain about that?

Big Mike is actually very good and has a very nice voice, but he borrrres me to tears.

It's not surprising...in American popular culture, excellence is boring.

And "Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy" sells a million units.

Hey Big Mike, I heard you went into a restaurant and ate everything in the restaurant and they had to close the restaurant.

ROTFL!!

Well, so much for my psychic predictions. For the love of Pete...will we ever be rid of this Big Mike!

Never. They will probably give him his own show after the season is over. "Everybody Love Big Mike"

Reminds me of the stories about Mario Lanza back in the day. Mario ate his way through L.A. and got too fat to sing well.

One night Mario craved the roast beef from a particular deli at 3 a.m. Enraged that the deli was closed, he broke in and stole a 20 lb. roast beef, and purportedly ate it at one sitting.

Mario died young, at age 38, of food and alcohol abuse.

The stand-in judge for Ellen looked like Ron White.

LOL! Without the drink and cigar in his hands!

he would throw a diva fit and hack every one off.

I remember at some Grammy show or something Elton and Tina Turner were rehearsing a song together and Tina went off and Elton threw the biggest diva hissy fit I've ever seen. Tina made the "OH NO YOU DON'T!" line famous in that single moment. It was a riot!

Harry is HOT. His looks, but I love his HUMOR best.

Lee is adorable. The way he almost believes in himself is edibly charming. And he’s got the best SOUND to his voice.

Listen with your eyes closed. You will be surprised. With my eyes closed, the most interesting of the bunch were Lee, which I figured, Aaron, which freaked me out, and Casey when he is ON.

While Big Mike (BM for short) has a good voice, his voice is boring with your eyes closed. You don’t want to hear another song of his afterward. And sorry but Bowersox also was kind of boring too. I know she is good, but her voice alone doesn’t pop. Still I know the package is what counts.

Are you people nuts?

What does this spell:

B-O-R-I-N-G. (ZZZZZ for short)

Not only is the "B" capitalized, so are the rest of the letters when it comes to Mike!

Mike's two-hand gayity wave is special though...< /rolls eyes>

Given a coach I think she can make a mark in the music world.

Definitely. There's no question that girl can sing! With the right training and the right songs she could blaze through the musical landscape!

Also, Siobhan really looked good when she sang "Think." That's her best fashion style. Plain Jane, pretty woman.

He better stay away from Mike then because it looks like Mike's been eating everything in sight! ;-)

I think Lee is cool. The genuineness he exudes will make him a music celebrity in all the right ways. He almost looks and sounds like he could singlehandedly bring real music back!

I wonder who planted the “We Love Big Mike” signs in the audience we constantly see waving...funny everyone I know can’t stand him.

Link to Crystal’s music before AI below.

It has two recordings of Bowersox singing 2 songs she wrote.
“Hellbent” (which is the only one I listened to) has audio clips of Bush and Palin, along with Crystal ranting about how evil they are.

Liberal rubbish.

Oh, forgot.

A thank you to FReeper word_warrior_bob for the above link of Crystal’s music.
He posted it earlier in this thread.

ROFL re Michael eating Lee!

Yes, I wonder how fame will change Lee. It doesn’t seem to have harmed David Cook. He still seems very down to earth. They have some things in common. Of course, Cook is more romantic ballad and Lee is more Bruce Springsteen rock...

Look, maybe it’s just a taste thing. I love R&B and Luther Vandross and all kinds of music similar to Mike’s style, but he is a little too much “show” and a little less believable USUALLY to me. One night a few weeks ago he really made me sit up and listen. But often he doesn’t.

Thank you, truly, but I prefer not to listen to the link.
I don’t want to feel hardened by liberal stupidity ~ if anything, it makes me want to love them all the more.

Crystal is truly gifted, although misinformed and politically ignorant.

Her music for the last several weeks has lifted me a great deal, and I wish her well. I have no bone to pick with her.

She’s so much more to me than her politics, which will mature with age and experience.

If she only realized how much she has in common with Sarah Palin!
Especially her strength in withstanding criticism, her independent spirit, and her humble beginnings.

If a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged, certainly she’ll feel the pinch soon enough.
