This song always makes me think of “Mean Girls.”
“Don’t look at me.”
Is her husband legally blind? LOL, just asking!
I agree. That was a blatant sympathy ploy.
Gene Wilder! Thank you! Every time I'd hear that commercial I'd recognize that voice but could never place it.
Whatever AT&T is selling (a smart phone?) is supposed to be so wonderous and awe-inspiring that when you use it you'll feel like a five year old again. Probably because the phone will be so frustrating it will make the user cry until it's nap time :)
Hi, Bah :)
Yeah!
;-D
I agree.
Yeah. Thinking about it now, it will probably be Siobhan leaving tomorrow. The Ferlies will save Aaron for at least one more week. There's just no room for her to hide. And the screaming stuff wore out it's welcome a LONG time ago.
LOL!
Good night :)
And he'll have to sit on all three stools :)
Thank you! :)
My pleasure :)
It’s great to have you hear, buddy :)
hear = here, lol
You missed Lee’s wobbly, rough start? It’s not his thing to sing country. He was straining like he was passing a kidney stone.
With all of the medical references tonight in the comments and from the judges, it sounded like an episode of House was on in place of Idol.
Was fairly pleased with tonight. All 6 did fairly well, no trainwrecks to be seen although there were some wobbly moments. Love shania Twain, so I was predisposed to enjoy this week.
1. Siobhan Magnus Any Man of Mine I thought this was Shabonbons best performance in weeks. She held the glory note a little too long, but other than that she knocked shanaynay out of the park.
2. Casey James Dont Best Casey has done in a long while. For the first time it felt like Casey actually connected with a song. great job.
3. Michael Lynche It Only Hurts When Im breathing OK I love Michael when he does the ballads, and he brought it in spades tonight. Loved this, it was pitch perfect and done brilliantly.
4. Crystal Bowersox No One Needs To Know This was cute. For the first time I wasnt totally blown away by Crystal, but her performance was very good as usual. She is still the best in the competition by far, but for tonight I liked the other performances a little better.
5. Lee DeWyze Still the One By far Lees worst week in a while. The first half of the song lost me as it felt like he was shouting the whole time. The last part was actually pretty good, but Lee had lost me by that point. Not horrible by any means, but not my favorite.
6. Aaron Kelly You Got A Way With Me This was kind of boring for me. It wasnt horrible, but it was not very good. The WHINEY NASALLY Aaron was back, and that style of voice just grates on my last nerve. No where near as painful as his first few weeks, but nowhere near as good as he has gotten. A huge step backward in my opinion
SHOULD GO HOME Aaron. He is just not in the same league vocally or performance wise with the other 5. He has had a good run, but it is time to exit stage right.
WILL GO HOME This is a crapshoot to be honest. Aaron probably has the tweeners in his hip pocket, so everyone else needs to worry. It really could be any one of the other 5 if the texting morons save Aaron.
ROFL! And someone upthread called it a chandelier! LOL!
My ranking:
1. Casey. He did connect with his song. He meant it so much that he hardly opened his eyes. He didn't put the rough spin on his voice; he sang from his soul. I'd personally like to see him combine his great rough singing, plus smile, WITH a heartfelt delivery. I certainly want to see him again.
2. Lee. I know he was pitchy and this wasn't his best performance, but I love the sound of his voice, and his newfound confidence. I think he might be in trouble though, but I don't see him going home.
3. Crystal. I didn't like her song this time. She's getting too defensive with the judges and too cocky in her singing. She has never connected to the audience. I kind of do not like her as a person, from the impression she gives. And I do not think she cares.
4. Michael. He sang the song very well. He really is a great R&B ballad singer. I'd never buy his stuff but I appreciate his talent.
5. Aaron. He's amazing for his age. It's probably time for him to go, though. That song was too romantic to sing for his Mom, but I did ask my kids to go on TV and sing such a song to me one day. Sadly, some of them have refused.
6. Siobhan. I really don't like her any more. I don't like her facial expressions, I don't like how she deliberately leaves that scream in each song, and I can't stand her looks. She's trying too hard to be cool. Though she is never boring, she is also no longer interesting. She seems very limited in capacity. Shock and surprise works better for the intelligent, like Adam Lambert.
