It’s erie to me that Arthur C. Clarke first published “Childhood’s End” as a short story under the title “Guardian Angel”, especially since his description of the alien “overlords” in the tale exactly matches the stereotypical description of Biblical demons; reptilian, leathery wings, etc. If you’ve never read it, at least read the wiki summary; it’ll make your skin crawl, if you know the Bible well enough.

Who knows? Clarke may be among the prophets.

Start with "The Twelfth Planet". He knows his history and he knows his Bible. He is an authority on Sumerian cuneiform. I appreciate the other links. I'll take a look at it.
