Happy Easter, everyone!!
For years since I’ve known of it, not that I know of...
I see a dog playing baseball.??? No easter message in that.
www.dogpile.com
I use dog pile some, always been okay with it.
Also my default search engine!
I, too, default to dogpile. Also use ixquick for the lack of the footprint
Thanks
Also scroogle, like ixquick will cover your search queries for privacy. GMTA.
Dogpile USES Google as one of their search engines. It’s not like they are running an independent search engine. They are more like a cover to mask the actual search engines working behind the screen.
“Dogpile aggregates the most relevant searches from Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and Ask and delivers them to you in a convenient search package. With Dogpile, you get the best from the big dogs without all the mess.”
Yes, I switched back to Dogpile recently. Had used it almost exclusively when I first got on the web about 10 years ago.
I used Google for many years until I came to dislike their attitude toward Christians. Went to Altavista until Yahoo took over. That is when I went back to Dogpile.
In most cases it as good as any of the other search engines.
I also noticed they are not afraid to display Christian identifications. The Easter graphics are secular, but the text supports those of us with Christian faith.
I also used Ixquick for a while, but found it was Not Quick, and the richness of the searches were lacking.
What caught my attention a year ago was when the dog Arfie on Veterans Day had a caption of it bowing down, and being petted by an American soldier.
Independence Day 2009: Arfie was standing up saluting the American flag. Christmas Day 2009, Arfie was looking at baby Jesus. I am thinking that the site owner is a Pubbie..
thanks for that. :)
