I was on the edge of my seat when her brother Zac was doing this, but when they got serious about Abby sailing, I just wanted to cover my eyes!! Now, I peek through my fingers a little bit.

I would not want to go around Cape Horn in a cruise ship.

Even on a destroyer (long, long ago), it's an "interesting" area. We exited the Beagal Channel westward about breakfast time, and immediately hit 40-foot seas.

The baskets are ready...just waiting for Husband and Son to get engrossed in a movie or playing the wii tonight...and then The Easter Bunny can swoop in to fill the baskets. I'm having onehelluvatime staying out of the Cadbury Eggs tonight, LOL!

It is fairly easy going from the Pacific to the Atlantic since the current is in that direction. What is hard is going from the Atlantic to the Pacific against the current. This current is roughly 8 or 9 miles per hour.
When I traveled from east to west on the Triton we had difficulty maintaining depth doing 15-18 kts. The day we did it the weather was supposedly calm.
