When I was stationed in Thailand we had small lizard (jingjoks) living the house. They ate insects, especially mosquitoes, so we left them alone. One lived under the electric mixer on the kitchen counter. It would come out to lick up the splashes when my wife made up the powdered milk every morning. We had a larger lizard, a gecko, who would show up on the outside of the bathroom window every night, to eat the moths and other things that were attracted by the light coming through the window.
