KFC Launches All-Meat Sandwich, No Fooling
MY FOX ATLANTA ^ | 03 APRIL 2010 | MY FOX ATLANTA

(NewsCore) - The KFC Double Down, a sandwich that the fast-food chain felt compelled to assure consumers was actually real and not an April Fools' Day prank, will land with a greasy thud in KFC locations across the U.S. on April 12, an advertisement on KFC’s website said Saturday.

The Double Down features bacon and Monterey Jack cheese surrounded not by a bun but by two fried chicken fillets.

KFC describes the sandwich as “so meaty, there’s no room for a bun!” Consumer affairs website Consumerist called it “mysteriously tempting (and potentially lethal).”

I see some cheese in there, making it not “all meat”.

I often wondered why God made pork taste so good and then said, by-the-way you can’t have none ;-(

I also wondered why cats love tuna, I don’t think thats very natural either. I doubt ancient cats were out on the open sea fishing for them.

My family doesn’t eat pork either because my husband is Jewish. Pork isn’t good for you anyway.

Pork is fine..

you are rationalizing....you know, you can just say you don't eat pork because of your family beliefs....you don't have to damn it for everyone else.

Ever read Aesop's fables? Particularly the one about the fox and the grapes?

Maybe He said,”. . . by-the-way, you can’t have any.” I think God uses good grammar.

I’m not damning anything. Pork has worms, high sulfates, smoked pork is high in nitrates, high cholesterol, pigs transfer many diseases to humans (and are susceptible to some human diseases), pork meat has a high level of histamines that can cause inflammation in humans AND the diet that is promoted by Jewish dietary laws is good for you is really a healthier diet. Fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, fish, olive oils, figs...etc. If you like pork, feel free. Eat pork, smoke a ton, drink lots of bourbon, have unprotected sex, use Chinese drywall to build your house, vote Democrat...it is a free country. Have at it.

That is comedy. You can go about your day knowing that you have made the world better by making people laugh.

Pork in past times had worms....not now(it is regulated and even if it has worms, you cook pork through and you dont get worms....).

Cured Pork has sulfates... not fresh pork.(wine has sulfates naturally)

pork, like chickens and beef have been known to transfer diseases to humans....

Pork that is produced naturally has less health issues than other meats that are produced in high density feed lots. and vice versa.

Beef and Chicken raised in those high density lots are full of Hormones and antibiotics...It is not the pig that is the problem....it is the way it is raised....

They have to my dismay, been producing the newest varieties of pork that is so low and fat because of the fat nazis interference, that makes ‘the other white meat’ more and more tasteless.

I have raised chickens in the past....and there is nothing as dirty and disgusting than a chicken(and disease ridden....think bird flu or west nile), a pig is a far cleaner animal to eat and enjoy.

and when I can...I kill and eat wild game....but there is nothing wrong with Pork.

Now I will eat my uncured bacon, and sausage and tomorrow for easter we will bake a nice big uncured spiral sliced Ham.

Like most of the prohibitions on seemingly arbitrary things, food prohibitions fall into the “anti-type” category, meaning that the unclean physical foods prohibited of the Old Law represent unclean “spiritual foods” prohibited of the New Law. (Heb 5; 1 Cor 10; etc.)

A few years back when I was reading about the first early settlers into Kentucky & Tennessee, there was mention that people who knew how to hunt had unlimited red meat to eat, and that it was very tiring, red meat every single day. Flour was a rarity among these earliest settlers, so frequently they'd take two slices of poultry meat - often duck or wild turkey, and use them in lieu of bread to make a "sandwich."

KFC doesn't seem to know that there is a LONG history behind this Cain-tuck-eee Sandwich....
