The Helen Thomas pictures thrown into so many threads are tiresome

Inspired by an interesting thread regarding an actor who refused to do love scenes with an attractive female actress. Inevitably somebody thinks its "funny" to throw in a picture of Helen Thomas. This extremely tiresome "joke" has been run into the ground.
Looking it up she was born in 1920. So every day someone feels the need to point how that a 90 year old woman isn't a babe. And we have to shout that out a dozen times a day in threads that have no relation whatsoever to the Washington Press Corps. Aren't we so clever.
It's nothing clever, it's nothing witty, it's nothing civil. It's just a low cheap shot. In theory aren't we supposed to be better then this. Can't we give it a rest, or at the very least stop with the off-topic use of the pictures.

Helen Thomas, standing in front of the White House with a note pad. Original caption: President Nixon teased UPI's Helen Thomas about wearing slacks to the White House and made it clear that he prefers dresses on women. Here, Thomas, wearing white pants, a Navy blue jersey shirt, long white beads and Navy blue patent leather shoes with red trim, is shown outside the north portico of the White House. (UPI Photo)

Golly, why isn’t there a picture of Helen interviewing George Washington as he is crossing the Delaware? That’s when her career really took off!

Before even progressing through the thread, I know there will be dozens of pictures of the hag. To you dozens who will post said picture here’s some free advice: see a doctor. Havingg a picture of that demented hag at your finger tips is a sing that you got lots-o mental problems. The “gag” really is tired.

Agreed- the picture has been run into the ground to the extent I just quit reading the thread. Not worth my time to wade past it however many times. Not to mention it shows the mentality of the idiots that think they are so cute.
Flame away.
